Dr. Murtaza Majid has more than two decades of experience in health researches for the poor and marginalized people of Bangladesh.  He has expertise in maternal child health, family planning, nutrition, adolescent sexual reproductive health rights, violence against women, and quality of care researches on health and family planning services. Dr. Majid has provided consultancy services to major UN agencies, international and national NGOs, and government agencies of Bangladesh. He has been active team member in more than 100 research studies. His major areas of consultancy services also include: emergency obstetric and neonatal care, health status in Chittagong hill tracts, urban slums, disaster prone areas, etc. Dr. Majid has contributed as Team leader in a number of studies. He has work research experience in Vietnam for as a Consultant to UNFPA Vietnem. The study conducted in Viet Nam was titled “Study on the quality of Family Planning Services in Viet Nam (UNFPA Vietnam, 2017; it can be found in: https://goo.gl/Exp7V3). He has completed graduation from Rajshahi Medical College, and post-graduation in public health from NIPSOM, Dhaka. He is Bangladeshi by birth and has excellent proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English and Bengali.
