Md. Abddullah, has thirty years of working experience in various ministries/ Divisions of Government of Bangladesh. Of these 30 years of services, he spent more than 28 years for doing the job related to project planning, monitoring and evaluation. He also worked extensively in the field of local government, regional developments and Health and Population Sector for about 20 years (Minsitry of Health and Family Welfare, Local Government Division, CHT Ministry, Cabinet Division, off-shore Islands Development Board). Mr. Abdullah has the ability of project designing, formulation, macro and micro financing, project coordination, project implementation and donor co-ordination. He acted as project Director of various projects like Birth Registration project, Urban primary healthcare project, BCC project co-coordinator of Health and population sector programme, etc. After retirement from Govt. regular service he worked two years in LGED as planning Consultant. He also worked for SAARC Secretariat and currently he is an Advisor to the A K Khan Healthcare Trust in Health Sector. In his long service career Md. Abdullah coordinated and conducted various types of trainings, workshops and seminars. His long and successful career is delineated through the following list of positions he held: Both as Joint Chief and Deputy Chief, Programming Division and Planning Commission; Deputy Chief, Local Govt. Division; Deputy Chief, ERD; Both as Deputy Chief and Assistant chief of M/O Health and Family Welfare; Planning officer, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry; Research Officer, Cabinet Division; Planning officer, Off-shore Islands Development Board. He was the Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Economic Association, Dhaka and Secretary General of BCS Economic Cadre Association. Md. Abdullah was born in February 26, 1951.He has given consultancy services to various development partners focusing on governance and planning.
Md. Abdullah completed his graduation and post graduation from Department of Economics, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Further he completed Diploma in Health Economics from University of York, England.
