The NUPRP aims to provide support to contribute to balanced, sustainable growth and the reduction of urban poverty in Bangladesh. NUPRP will work nationwide and cover poor people living in slums and informal settlements in cities and towns in Bangladesh in two phases. HDRC has been conducting a series of studies under an assignment titled “Impact Evaluation Study of National Urban Poverty Reduction Project (NUPRP)” implemented by UNDP Bangladesh. The duration of the work is 2018—24. Impact Evaluation study has four tasks: (1) Methodology Design in 2018, (2) Baseline Survey in 2019, (3) Annual Outcome Monitoring (AOM) Surveys in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and (4) Impact evaluation in 2024. There will be a dissemination event at the end of the Impact Evaluation in 2024. HDRC is conducting this work in collaboration with the International Institutes of Social Studies (ISS) in the Netherlands.
