Nahida Akter started her professional life at Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) as a Research Officer. Later she joined HDRC as a Research Associate. Her research interests include public health, gender, social diversity, migration, governance, international trade, and diplomacy. She worked on research designing, proposal & report writing, documentation, and public communication. She has experience in organizing and facilitating training and high-level meetings with national/international delegates. She has worked with several prominent researchers at the national level. She completed her B.S.S. (Hons.) and M.S.S. in Economics from the University of Dhaka. She also worked as a volunteer with a number of philanthropic youth-oriented organizations during her academic life at the university. Some of those organizations are UNYSAB, UNFPA Bangladesh, Activista Bangladesh, International Youth Council (IYC) Bangladesh, and Leo Club Bangladesh.

Nahida Akter is highly enthusiastic about mental wellness, philanthropy, history, cultural diversity, art, social revolution, and global politics. She was born on 22 October 1992 in Bangladesh and currently lives in Dhaka.
